Last Time John Henry Talked To The Media, No One Knew What A K-95 Was
It’s officially been 6 years since Red Sox owner John Henry answered public media questions. Yes, that technically dates back to before the whole world was shut down for a pandemic and severely divided the country. For reference, he took questions at the end of last year about his sweet baby boy, Liverpool FC, so I guess we know where his priorities are. This year, when caddying during the Sony Open Pro-Am, I got the pleasure of chopping it with PGA Tour Pro Taylor Pendrith and his caddy, Mitch. Seeing as I don’t know anything about hockey, and they weren’t huge basketball guys, I asked how they thought the Blue Jays were going to do this year, and they said they refuse to be fans until ownership changes due to a lack of spending. This baffled me due to the Jays outbidding the Sox for Dylan Cease, but I kinda like where their heads are at. I’m sick and tired of missing out on free agents and spending 15 dollars for a soda, so I’m just going to boycott the Red Sox until Henry’s gone. Not that it will make a difference to him, but the principle of it will make a difference to me, and that’s what really matters.
